A potato plant has appeared under one of the wigwams which has runner beans and sweet peas growing up it. In the same bed nasturtiums are growing like weeds. I had planted some last year to accompany the sprouts and purple sprouting broccoli and didn’t realise that they were perennials! Joseph has a rogue sunflower growing in the middle of his line of lambs lettuce and under the peas (what’s left of them after the badger had his dinner) a chicory plant is determined to do its thing despite me regularly yanking out its foliage. And don’t get me started on the weeds...
