A September morning

by julieg 4. September 2009 05:32

I have had some feedback that the photos are appreciated so as the sun is shining, and it might not be for long, I thought I’d take some pictures so you can see how the allotments look today.

You can see the parsnips in the foreground and the areas of brown soil are where we pulled up the onions and shallots.

Our beans are coming to an end now and for some reason the Cobra french beans are now growing in curls.

You can't see it very clearly but we only got around to putting up half a piece of netting and now the brassicas are being stripped by caterpillars.

This is what we should have done (Hilary's allotment).

Our jerusalem artichokes are now blocking the path.
