There has certainly been a lot of media interest in vegswap this week. On Monday Sue was interviewed on the Chris Evans show on BBC Radio 2 and yesterday Victoria Graham from BBC Spotlight came to interview Sue, myself and a vegswap swapper called Rebecca. Well, I think I have reached that pivotal moment in life: my 15 minutes of fame. Now, I’m not counting my chickens, or should I say runner beans, because by now my face and words might already be on the cutting room floor. But, if they like my ‘walk on, dig up some spring onions and walk off left’ then I might be in with a chance. You might think I’m making a big deal out of this, especially as the interview wasn’t actually about me – I was there to talk about the blog and why vegswap is such a great website – but this might be my ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to get on the telly, even if it’s for 20 seconds. I say you’ve got to take your opportunities! Anyway, it all seemed to go well and the piece should be aired in a couple of weeks’ time. I can’t wait!
