No, you can search straight away. You will however need to login or register to enter the produce that you have to swap or to make an offer on a swap.

Do I need to have entered produce before I use the search facility?

No, you can search straight away but you need to enter the produce that you have before you can make an offer for someone else’s produce. Alternatively if you don’t find anything you fancy you can just enter the produce you have and wait for someone to make you an offer.

How do I enter my produce?

Use the 'Enter Produce' button on either the Home Page or the Swap Shop page. Alternatively visit My Vegswap to view your account details.

What can I swap?

Fruit, vegetables, nuts, honey, jams, eggs, fruit juice..... Visit our search facility to see what’s on offer.

What can't I swap?

You cannot swap items containing alcohol, classified drugs, anything that has been frozen, shop bought or imported items.

What do I do if my type of produce isn’t listed?

Send us an email and we will do our best to add it for you.

What quantities can I swap?

You decide. Enter the quantities you have in the appropriate units. And then barter away.

How long will you keep my produce on your system for?

We know that fruit and vegetables don’t last forever. Some things will keep longer than others. When you enter your produce you will be asked how long it will be available for. If you select availability of more than a month we will send you monthly reminders to see if you still have that produce in a condition to be swapped. This will help ensure we swap only the freshest tastiest fruit and veg.

How do I check the rating of a swapper?

Select 'View feedback' before you make an offer on a swap to see if they have carried out previous swaps reliably.

How do we arrange to exchange produce once we have made a swap?

It is the responsibility of the person who made the offer to travel to complete the swap. You could either arrange a time to swap or a safe place to leave it.

How do I leave feedback about a swapper?

When you have completed your swap you can either click on the link on the email we send you or navigate to My Vegswap, select the relevant swap and leave feedback.

How do I check the rating of a swapper?

Before you make an offer on a swap you can view any feedback left about that swapper to see if they have carried out previous swaps reliably by clicking on the swapper's name.

There is no one near me using vegswap, how can I get swapping?

Use our invite a friend facility to send an email to friends and family containing a link to Vegswap. Or alternatively share Vegswap with your friends on your favourite social network.
